Quality Food Very good, Decor Poor to fair, Service Poor to fair

Okavango River Lodge is Right on the Banks of the Boro River and with all the reeds and speed Boats you really get to feel that you are in the delta and there lights around the place at night give the place a nice feel. But i don't like all the dogs digging holes under the tables and begging for food when i am trying to eat! also the service is a bit weak it took years for my friends fish&chips to come. (maybe they were still trying to catch it?) however on the bright side i had there matured rump steak and it was really very nice with mushroom sauce. All said i would go back for the food and the river is beautiful

Quality Excellent

This is one of those Great laid back places were time seems to slow down to a stop and you almost forget that you right in the center of a roaring town. The food, well its best described as being delicious, fresh and wholesome and there lemonade,is a must try. This is a really Great place don't leave maun without visiting this very quaint little restaurant.

Quality Excellent

I have visited here a few times and both time i have really enjoyed. The atmosphere is great its also a great place to bring a large group of people as there is plenty of space and decking. the staff are very helpful which is a big plus for them. The food is good love there pizzas  and there Malawi shandy is extremely refreshing.

Khwai Community Concession Xwabaxwa Campsite Khwai is divided into two areas, the Moremi Game Reserve side and the Community Concession side and its this Community side that we will focus on here. Unlike the Moremi side you don't have to pay any Park fees to Explore this side of Khwai, However you will need to find a Campsite of which there are a few options.  My go to Camp is a very Affordable Campsite Named Xwabaxwa. situated next to the river under large leadwood trees these campsites are large and very private, being well spaced from each other hidden in the riverine forests, here Elephants, Buffalo and Hippo quietly move through the camps and at night the frogs sing in the reedy lagoons only silenced by the roar of the ever roaming lions of Khwai. Okavango Gin

Okavango Gin No Botswana adventure is complete without an iced G&T at sunset. It’s one of my favourite parts of a safari, it combines the social aspect with the beauty of the wild surroundings.  Since it’s creation, we have been proud advocates of Okavango Gin. Made exclusively in Botswana, a mix of classic juniper berries and the secret ingredient, seeds of Mopane tree, along with crystal filtered Okavango water. Apparently the elephants are not the only Mopane lovers around here! Okavango Gin&Tonic with wild sage The distillery is off the grid, hidden somewhere in the depths of the Okavango, traditionally made with local hands. Established in 2018 it endured Covid, alcohol bans, more covid and more alcohol bans, yet, it is finally available in Maun to buy.  Okavango Gin has won multiple awards including a double gold medal award in the San Francisco world spirits competition.
